Examinations : STD. XI & STD. XII :

  Examination at the end of the First Year (XI Std.) will be conducted by the College. Examination at the end of the Second Year (XII Std.) will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate showing marks obtained in each paper and practicals and the aggregate will be 600 marks. These certificates, it is hoped, will enable the candidates to secure jobs or apprenticeship training

 

Rules concerning admission

  Students who have appeared for H.S.C. examination or its equivalent are eligible to appear for the Centralized Common Entrance Examination (C.C.E.E.). However, they will be eligible for admission to the B.M.S. course provided they have secured minimum 45% marks at the H.S.C. examination or its equivalent for the General category (at first attempt) and minimum 40% marks for the Reserved Category (at first attempt) AND on the basis of the score secured at the Centralized Common Entrance Examination (C.C.E.E.).

 

Information regarding projects:

For Projects I & II the teacher shall initially engage about 5 lectures for orientation. The students shall visit field for data collection and analyse the same. Before the report is finalized the students shall present their findings to the faculty wherein faculty shall provide guidelines for finalization of the same.

 

Reservation

  SEATS ARE RESERVED FOR BACKWARD CLASS STUDENT'S AS PER GOVERNMENT RULES. Out of the total seats, 50% seats are reserved for Reserved Category students as per Government Rules. Student's belonging to the Backward Classes are required to submit the Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the State of Maharashtra.

 

Examinations

  i) The examination shall be conducted at the end of each semester.
ii) A Theory paper shall carry 100 marks. The evaluation of the performance of the students in theory papers shall be on the basis of both internal assessment (40%) and semester end examination (60%). Internal evaluation shall be on the basis of class assignments, Group discussions, Seminar attendance etc. The Semester and examination shall be held at the end of each Semester and shall be of 2 hours duration.
iii) The responsibility of evaluation during the first 4 Semester shall rest with the College/Institution wherein the students are admitted for the course. The College/Institution shall carry out the Internal evaluation for Theory papers in Semesters V & VI while the University shall conduct the semester end examination for these two semesters. The internal evaluation marks of students appearing for Semester V and VI shall be sent to the University by the respective College/Institution before the commencement of the respective semester end examinations.
iv) The evaluation of Projects I & II shall be carried out by the examiners appointed by the University inclusive of Viva-voc examination. The project reports shall be assessed for 60% of the total marks while viva-voce examination shall carry 40% of the marks.

 

Standards of passing

  i) A candidate shall have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each theory paper and project to clear a particular semester.
ii) A candidate shall be placed in First Class with Distinction if he/she secures a minimum of 50 marks in each of the theory papers and projects in Semesters V & VI considered separately and at least 75% marks in aggregate.
iii) A candidate shall be placed in First class if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each of the theory papers and project in Semesters V & VI considered separately and at least 60% marks in aggregate.
iv) A candidate shall be placed in Second class he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each of the theory papers and projects in Semesters V & VI considered separately and at least 50% marks in aggregate.
v) A candidate shall have to secure at least 50% marks in each of the theory papers and projects to pass the examinations.
vi) A candidate who fails in any particular theory papers shall be allowed to reappear for that theory paper/s. However his/her internal evaluation marks shall be carried over. But shall not be entitled to any class on passing.
vii) A candidate who fails in more than two theory papers at the Semester end examination shall not be allowed to keep terms for the next Semester.
