The First Year and Second Year Examinations in Arts, Science and Commerce
are conducted by the college on behalf of the University. The Third
Year Examination for all the streams is conducted by the University.
Promotion to the Second Year and Third Year classes will be on the
basis of the performance at the First Year and Second Year Examinations
respectively as per University rules.
The standard of passing, rules of disqualification, rules of gracing
and benefit of A.T.K.T. will be as prescribed by the University of
Mumbai.
The details regarding the Examination held by the college will be
displayed on the notice-boards from time to time.
A student found to have used unfair means at the examination will
be dealt with as per the provisions laid down under Section 87 of
the Mumbai University Act, 1974. |
To pass the F.Y./S.Y. Examination a student must secure a minimum
of 35% of full marks assigned to each subject.
If the subject consists of more than one paper a student must obtain
a minimum 20% of full marks in each paper and 35% of full marks in
that subject.
In case of subjects involving practicals a student must secure a minimum
of 35% of the full marks assigned to theory and a minimum 35% of the
full marks assigned to the practical examination in that subject.
There are separate Heads of passing for Theory and Practicals.
For gracing, ordinance #229 A or #5042, #5043 and #5045 shall be applied.
The students shall be allowed to keep terms (A.T.K.T.) for the next
higher class, as per University Rules. Classes shall be awarded on
the following basis to a successful student at the F.Y. and S.Y. Examinations:-
Ist Class - Distinction: 75% and above.
Ist Class: Less than 75% but not less than 60%
IInd Class: Less than 60% but not less than 45%
Pass Class: Less than 45% but not less than 35% For the rules regarding
the award of classes at the Third Year Examination, the students are
advised to refer to the Circulars issued by the University of Mumbai.
