Four examinations will be held for the students during the course
of the academic year :
(1) Mid-term Test No. 1 The portion for this examination
will be the portion taught upto the last working day before this examination.
(2) The First Terminal Examination The portion for
this examination will be the topics taught upto the last working day
before this examination.
(3) Mid-term Test No. 2 will be held in the Second
Term. The portion for the examination will be the portion taught from
the first working day of the Second Term to the last working day before
the examination.
(4)(i) The Preliminary Examination for S.Y.J.C. classes
only will be held in the month of January. The portion for the examination
will be the entire portion taught during both the terms of the academic
year. The pattern and duration of the examination will be the same
as prescribed by the Board for the H.S.C. Examination.
(4)(ii) The Second Terminal Examination for the F.Y.J.C.
classes only will be held in the month of March. The 'Portion' for
the examination will be the portion taught during the Second Term
only. Supplementary First Terminal / Second Terminal Examination
is arranged only for those students who inform the Principal, in writing,
their inability to appear for the First Terminal/Second Terminal Examination
because of ill-health or for the reasons beyond their control and
to the satisfaction of the Principal.
The detailed programmes of the respective examinations showing the
duration of each question paper and the number of marks assigned will
be put up on the notice-board from time to time.The students should
note that they will be examined in Theory and Practicals, (For science
stream) and their performance in each Test-Examination will be taken
into consideration while promoting them to the next higher class for
this purpose. Attendance will also be considered.
Assessed answer-books of all the Examination, except those of 2nd
Terminal Examination are returned to the student.
Due consideration will be given to the Term-work such as tutorials,
practicals and home assignments if any.
The final result of the F.Y.J.C. class will be decided on the average
marks (a+b+c)/3 in each subject where: a = the number
of marks obtained at the First Terminal Exam.
b = the number of marks obtained at the Second Terminal Exam.
c = the number of marks obtained in the yearly work such as Mid-term
tests, tutorials,Practicals etc.
Important Note:
If a student is found copying or using unfair means in any Paper/Subject
at an Examination, the student will be expelled from the Examination
and the performance of such student in the entire Examination including
the Paper/Subject,if any, for which the student has already, appeared,
may be treated as null and void, and for the purpose of computation
of the final result, the student will be treated to have scored "Zero"
marks in each of his/her Papers/Subjects at the Examination. Such
a student will not be eligible for re-admission in this college.

Minimum marks for passing in a subject shall be 35%.
Marks for theory and practicals in the subject where there are two
parts shall be taken together and the total marks will be considered
for passing. |
Grades on the aggregate of marks will be awarded to successful candidates
as under :
Ist Class - Distinction: 75% and above.
Ist Class: Less than 75% but not less than 60%
IInd Class: Less than 60% but not less than 45%
Pass Class: Less than 45% but not less than 35% |
